Project Upcycled Red Carpet 88%

It started with an idea.

For 5 years, we have been renting red carpets for our George Brown College  year-end fashion event “THREADS”, for a total cost of $1,375.  Why not DYI one?!

Pro. Leung immediately thought of designer Adam Quang who work focused on upcycling sustainable fashion. She also got industry partners, The Salvation Army, Thrift Stores involved, agreeing to pick and donate 21 metres of unsalesable red textiles.

Adam planned the design and construction.  The Lead team contacted George Brown College fashion graduates who have a passion for  sustainability and formed our team for “Project: Upcycled Red Carpet” aka #PURC

We’re super-excited about our process!  You are invited to join us
